jimmyjoebob's Great adventure

I am so glad to see the grandbabbies had a great christmas. I hope everyone else did as well. Here in Iraq at camp cup cake christmas looked alot like work and dirt. After all the stories I have heard about Iraq this is a let down. I have been talking to the soldiers when the get back from there missions. They are board stiff too. Some of them are gald to be board some want some sort of action. The iraqi people on base are very friendly and will talk about anything except polotics and pre war iraq. It is kind or strange. There really arent very many native iraqi people on the base. I will be stuck here at least for the first 90 days. I cant evan apply for jobs at other bases until my 90 days are up. I am still working on uploading some pictures. I should have it worked out soon. Well the timer is going off I have to frost the cup cakes. I wish everyone A healty and Happy New Year. I pray the new year bring peace and prosperity to everyone. And everyone get a chance to feel the love and support my family has felt since I have been away. I really appericat the lettters and messages the Hanson family has sent. They have maigically appered when i needed them

Sunday, Grandbabies and church

Well we have come to a close of another day. Church was wonderful today, we had a our Christmas program and our Choir has just outdone themselves once again. The Bishopric's message was phenomenal to say the lest...I do not believe there was a dry eye in the chapel. The spirit was just the best. Even the Grandbabies said that church was just awesome today. Jerami's exact words.

Stephanie was released from the hospital today and is back at home. We had a nice supper prepared by Lois already by the time me and the kids got home. It was very nice.

I am having a tough time with the holidays. I am not sure how this will go but I am giving it all I have got.
It sounds to me like my poor puppies are getting the short end of the stick. While Steph is lounging around in the hospitle my wife and grand babbies are out on a spending spree. Going to movies buying stuff and having a great time. My puppies want sunday clothes for church to. And sncaks and bones. Life is still the same here on jimmyjoebobs great adventure. They say thngs will pick up with summer. Not much A/C work in cold weather. We got someone new this week so I am no longer the new guy. I have to figiour out how to up load pictures. I will be working on it soon. Well the cup cakes are almost done. I will post pictures soon.

Me and the Grandbabies

My daughter Stephanie has been in the hospital having surgery, and so I have been blessed to have the grandbabies all to myself. We have made good use of our time and money (oops--don't worry, Jimmy, it wasn't THAT much money!)

We have been shopping for groceries, to the movies to see Alvin and the Chipmunks, and of course on the lookout for the CUTEST Sunday clothes--stockings, shoes and all.

Now if only I could get enough sleep . . .

Jimmyjoebob's Great Adventure

Well here I am in Al Asad. I kept hearing how carfel and had to be. Iraq is a very dangerious place. I was looking forward to a little excitment. However I got sent to camp Cup Cake. The real danger here is trying to not die of boardem. The work pace is the slowest I have ever worked in. But the vehicles are 10 times the size of anything i have worked on. It takes an hour just to remove enough armor to see the engine.
I do get to listen to the song Babalon while in babalon. In second Nephi there is alot of talk about destroying babalon, form what I see the damage really stuck. The first thing I noticed when I got off the plane in Bagdad is this place really STINKS. I am not sure why but it could have to do with the lack of electricity. Or the fact that there is no way to stay clean. The dust builds up faster than it can be wiped off. There are a some of the coolest planes we have in the arsonel here. And an endless arrary of strange vehicles. The food is ok. But since we work 12 and a half hours a day there is not enough time to do much else. I will be posting some pictures soon. There are some historical parts to this place including a well Abraham used to stop at when he passed through. and the soccer stadium were Sadam executed his soccer team for only winning the silver medal.
I want to sincerly than everyone for keeping my Lovely wife occupied while I am away maiking cup cakes. I miss everyone very much. But I really have had the oppertunity to confirm the fact that our one nation under god is a truly blessed nation. And we are lucky to have it.
