Well I'm Back
It is so nice to be back. The weather is a perfect 115+. There is a lite 20mph breeze, that feels like it is comming from a blow dryer. The sand stormes are every few days, and we are really picking up at work. At least the days are going by much faster. I took to much time off from the gym and boy am I paying the price for it. Yesterday was my wounderful wifes birthday. Every time I called her she sure sounded like she was having fun. The least she could have done is pretended like she missed me. A simple I'm sorry you are in Iraq while I am living it up. Would have been good. I'm just kidding I am very greatful we have such great friends.
I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for. Brandon, after I tell the girls I bought them a puppy but mean old dad said they cant have it. Or some random idiot that bought all the tools off ebay. when he finds out they come with a million phone calls a day and JJ with his 5 out of control kids and Beverly Hills Hillbillys Suburban he will be trying to pay Brandon to take them back. I of course can finally come home and relax. This is great I dont have to hide in Iraq any more. I wish I knew it was this easy 6 months ago. Please dont forget the spare set that is still in my garage. Just dont make excuses for why my corsair is not finished when I get home aug 15th
We had a rough week this week 3 soldiers from one of our small out lying bases were killed in a fire fight. the guys who shot them were wounded but the medics and quick acting medivac pilots were able to save the shooters. I guess that is what seperates us from them. But our soldiers are returning to there Heavenly Home while the bad guys recover in our hospital at our expense. I dont pretend to understand, but I think it is amazing that after they shot and killed our men the other that were there saved there lives. If we win this and bring a freedom here It wont be beacuse of the brilliant planning of our or the Iraqi goverment. It will be beacuse of the increadable example that our soldiers set every day in the field. We need to pray for all of them.
I hope all is well with everyone back home. I miss everyone so
Love Jim

Jim,
It is only 102 in Hesperia and it does feel like a blow dryer most of the time. I loved just hearing your voice on my voicemail. Keep up the good work we are all very proud of you!
Jim,
I forgot that on top of the super hot weather, I have hot flashes as well. It is murder!
Love you Cindy
One more thing. Mom needs to tell you about her flirtation with the guy from the barber shop quartet - it is a great story.

FYI Erik has learned what consequences are. Tuesday he and Nancy go to Walmart after his gym class and he get a treat and a hot wheel car. Well it seems as though at gym class Erik decided that the stick he was given for exercising made a better assault weapon. He hit other kids and Nancy with it. When Sandie asked him how his day went. Eric said "gym class, hit Nancy, no treat, no car"
How smart is it two give 2 year and 4 month old BOY a stick! I love other people's kid stories.
Love you Jim and we cannot wait to see you some day!
Cindy
Dear Jim,
I was hoping by now we could talk over the computer rather than communucating on the blog. You know how I "love" the new technology - it moves faster than I can comprehend it.
Just when I got up to Sacramento they had a heat spell. When I came back, it heated up here, but it cooled off today, thank God.
I thought by now you would be tired of Iraq and want to come home for good. It sounds like your heart is with our military and that is very noble of you. Keep in mind there are ways you could support them from home, but I know you don't belong to me, you belong to God and you will always listen to Him. I am so blessed to have you for a son.
Your sister Cindy doesn't always tell a story exactly the way it was; however, I'm used to you kids getting a laugh at my expense. I wasn't counting on it being spread all over the world, I should have known better, she could have at least gotten the story straight.
Love,
Mom
